So, since DGA is out of the question, the other upcoming thing to anticipate would be the BAFTAs? Or is there something else I'm missing? Why is DGA out of the question? DGA's isn't impossible at all. Other important nominations: WGA tomorrow DGA Tuesday BAFTA Wednesday

Maybe not impossible, but it would be a big big surprise if Scorsese got a DGA nomination. They say that the 5 DGA-nommed directors are usually from the top 5 films in the race, and I don't think Wolf is in the top 5 of contenders. I'd say it's 7th, at best.

The last time Scorsese had this much heat and controversy against him, the directors branch of AMPAS came to the rescue (for The Last Temptation of Christ).

Scorsese getting nominated would be awesome, but unfortunately I just can't see it happening. He's like 7th in line, I think. Would love to be surprised but not really gonna count on it.

I wrote this in July.
Joey McFarland said this...
I`m still wandering if Leo can get an Oscar nomination as a producer if the movie is nominated. I think they will fight for this. For a 4th producing credit. Other movies (as i mentioned) succeeded in their campaigns. After all Leo developed this project for 6 years.

Jonah Hill: Palm Springs Film Festival attendees followed a late night at Saturday's official awards gala and afterparty with a mimosa-soaked brunch at Variety's Creative Impact Awards today. Jonah Hill was honored with the event's acting award for his role in Wolf of Wall Street. Jonah reflected on expanding his talents beyond comedy in his acceptance speech and also talked about how surreal it is to have worked with Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorcese. "I really want to thank Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese," he said, "which sounds crazy that I'm referring to them in a way that I actually know them, as opposed to abstract, heroic figures. I love those guys." He also took a guess at how they might be spending their morning. "They're probably on Mars right now, or wherever they hang out." www.chickgazette.com/

Indeed he did (together with McQueen, Cuaron, O. Russell and Greengrass). He could still miss out on the Oscar, but it's looking good now.
