The DGA is of tremendous importance. It's no Oscar guarantee, look at last years controversial film Zero Dark Thirty, but it shows support from the director's branch.

I don't really see Scorsese getting Oscar nominated, but am glad for him regardless!

TWOWS now has noms for PGA, WGA, and DGA. Has a film ever been nominated for all three without an Oscar Best Picture nom?

No best film nomination like with Hugo. Not too good, but at least Leo got in.

Those BAFTA noms are still amazing. Better than I had hoped for. The film probably ended up being 6th for picture, but that doesn't matter with as many as 10 possible Oscar nominees. This means that it's in for Best Picture too and that Marty is very close to being a lock too with both DGA and BAFTA noms. And even better it is a huge boost to Leo's chances. He is gaining momentum at the right time and that is tremendously important. It's all good news if you ask me.

The four nominations seemed few at first, but besides Best Film and Supp. Actor, where else was it expected to feature? It wasn't going to get costumes or prod. design etc. So, I agree that it had a good showing there.
