The former Neighbours actress is set to play Leonardo DiCaprio's screen wife in the upcoming film, alongside Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey and Jean Dujardin. "It's crazy. I pinch myself every day," she admitted. "I still want to call him up and say, 'Marty, are you sure? Because I'm sure there was an A-lister out there that should have got this job?' I'm not sure why I did, but I'll be eternally grateful." Margot, who played Donna Freedman in the Australian soap, said it was "amazing" working with the Oscar-winning filmmaker and described her co-star Leonardo as "brilliant." "Leo's brilliant. He's such a committed actor," she said of her screen husband. "It's really nice to work across someone who is so incredibly into the scenes that sometimes I was like, 'I don't know if he knows we're acting any more. What if he hits me right now?' He's so in the moment, and working with him made me a much better actor." The 23-year-old actress - who next stars as Charlotte in Richard Curtis' romantic drama About Time, which is released on September 6 - said it has been thrilling to go from one spectrum to the other in both films. "Leonardo's character and his wife have a tumultuous relationship to say the least. They're just crazy. Everyone in Wolf Of Wall Street is nuts so it's fun and it's the exact opposite of what I do in About Time - different characters, different ages, different accents, everything," she added. |
