This is not the first time I've seen someone comment American Hustle was a Scorsese parody and tbh it does look fun but like a ripoff of GoodFellas/Casino.

No surprise that people would compare American Hustle to a Marty picture. I did the same 9 months ago when I read the script. Eric Singer seems to have written it with Marty in mind.

Looks like that person preferred American Hustle instead: Maxamillion Foizey @maxonmovies @awardscircuit ah! That makes sense. After seeing American Hustle I felt Wolf of Wall Street was the parody version. Different strokes! -----
People are trying to make a war between these 2 movies and it's annoying. I'm not really looking forward to American Hustle tbh but I've just got to accept people will probably prefer it over WOWS and it'll do a lot better awards season.

American Hustle is easier to accept for a lot of people (Read women and old men). For me they are one and two on my anticipation list and have been since Hustle went into production in the beginning of the year and took the second spot.

More reactions from critics:
Jack Giroux (Film School Rejects/ The Film Stage) @jackgi 1h The Wolf of Wall Street moves like a bullet. I'd watch it again right now.
Jack Giroux @jackgi 1h It's going to be this generation's Scarface. Wall Street is a much better movie, but some people are going to idolize Jordan Belfort.
James Rocchi (Cinephiled/ The Playlist/ MSN Movies) @jamesrocchi 12m WOLF OF WALL STREET is a brutal blast of high-finance hilarity that stops being a comedy once you realize we're living in it. Review tk.
Germain Lussier (Slashfilm) @germainlussier 1m Know that amazing, satisfied but overwhelming feeling you get at Thanksgiving dinner? That’s how I feel after seeing The Wolf of Wall Street
Germain Lussier @germainlussier 2m It’s just so crazy, so insane, so big and so long that it’s a lot to digest. But in the absolute best way. It’s an fantastic, poetic ride.
Christy Grosz (Variety) @christygrosz 3m WOLF OF WALL STREET made me feel like getting drunk and starting a fight.
ErikDavis (Movies.com) @erikdavis 56s Oh my love, my WOLF OF WALL STREET. You are so raunchy & filthy & funny & despicable & I love you for that. But you are too long, my love.
Hollywood Elsewhere @wellshwood 4m Don't kid yourself -- "The Wolf of Wall Street" is EASILY the best film of the year. A hilarious, orgiastic metaphor for 1% rot & disease.
Terence Johnson (Awards Circuit) @lenoirauteur 1m I just got home and I want to see Wolf of Wall Street again

Thanks, peanut. Dielt and Wells agree: The film is SHUT UP.
Apparently, the studio is allowing/encouraging tweets. If reactions continue this way, I'm guessing the embargo will be lifted earlier.

Embargos are not only to stop negative reviews from leaking. They are also a way to make sure that the exposure and buzz around the film, culminates close to the time of release, to drive up box office numbers.
