Where is Lady by the Sea: The Statue of Liberty available to watch? Preferably online.

I would love to see that too It's the only thing I've left to see in Scorsese's list of works as a director (including commercials, docus, TV stuff, etc.) In the meantime, here's a link to the wonderful Scorsese-produced documentary Surviving Progress (2011), by Canadian director Mathieu Roy (who worked as his assistant in The Aviator): www.youtube.com/watch?v=RT9FfECB8A8Scorsese and director Roy (to his right) at the presentation of the doc in The Film Society Of Lincoln Center

What about "Street Scenes (1970)". Have you seen it? I'm dying to see that one!

Technically, that's not a film directed by Scorsese (although several books list it as such). He oversaw the production and the editing process, but he doesn't recognize it as a film he directed. That said, I'd love to see it too

What role were Robert De Niro supposed to play in Gangs of New York? In this interview Marty talks about how he has cast Leo in it and that De Niro also is supposed to be in it: youtu.be/Mo_zTU7ME_A?t=23m52s

That is VERY interesting. Harvey basically confirmed my (and many other's) suspicion. For a long time Marty claimed that the 2 hours and 40 minutes version was the Director's Cut, but Harvey basically confirms for the first time (as far as I know) that it really wasn't.
A shame Scorsese won't release the longer version though.

That said, I'd love to see it too I always thought that it was mainly his film! Thanks for the enlightment and saving me from most of the anxiety to watch it! I was curious to see how he would document the protests - since the influence of European political cinema was huge those days... Oh well...
