I don`t like hearing that. My ex used to tell me that all the time. I hate that...

Hype! Hopefully that means next week. The Big Short trailer was also released by Paramount in the 3rd week of September (Tues. Sept. 22, 2015).

Now that we have a release date - December 23rd - I wonder when we should expect a trailer. Should be any day now really.
Never fully grasped the business of attaching which trailers to which films - unless it's obvious examples like attach the 1st trailer for the next Marvel movie onto the newest Marvel movie - but would Paramount push to make the trailer for SILENCE premiere on a movie that isn't one of their own? The next Paramount theatrical release is JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK & that isn't until October 21st & while I figure it's a given the trailer will be attached to ARRIVAL & ALLIED those movies don't come out until November 11th & November 23rd respectively. All those dates seem a while off & for the later films would certainly be late in the game to start marketing a new release.
Do you think Paramount would negotiate with Fox Searchlight to debut the SILENCE trailer on all prints of THE BIRTH OF A NATION which comes out next weekend on October 7th? That picture seems like the ideal movie to premiere a first look of SILENCE with.

Brad Grey just did a presentation of Paramount's slate for the next year - excluding their upcoming bomb 'Monster Trucks' - & the presentation included a TRAILER for Silence. So that should be making it's way online mighty soon I think. variety.com/2016/film/news/martin-scorsese-silence-ghost-in-the-shell-fences-1201902965/"In his opening remarks, Grey said “Silence,” a look at monks in feudal Japan, was “seminal Scorsese.” The director is still toiling away in the editing room, but the footage screened on Thursday had a hallucinatory quality. There were shots of a gaunt Liam Neeson dropping to his knees in prayer, images of Japanese men being hung on crosses, and cloud-flecked vistas of stunning mountainous countryside. It’s a film, Grey said, that Scorsese has been trying to make for 28 years."

It's likely tied to Allied.
