With a new TV-spot I think it is unfair to say that Paramount is lacking in their support.

Well, the film is still being talked about, yet Paramount never raised the theater count, even though they said they would after word of mouth helped the film surge during the second/third week. They didn't even add more screens when the nominations were announced. And they weren't clear from the beginning about their plan to release the film only in digital screens, which probably resulted in losing many theaters.

I'm upping my guess for the final domestic total to $110M Any possibility at $300M worldwide, a Scorsese record-breaker?

Arnz Thanks for latest Wolf box office news Will As to Paramount/Wolf ....I'm not really sure why studios decide to 'add or decrease' theaters ....I only know that I do still see lots of tv spots for Wolf on a daily basis .

It's the theatres that takes the film of their screens gradually to make room for new releases, not the studios.

thanks, arnzilla. Lowest theater count in the top 10, as well.
This is its last week in the top 10, but maybe it can make it to $115M...?

The Wolf of Wall Street earned $14.2 million across the nine markets being handled by Universal Pictures. It took first place for the third-straight weekend in Germany ($4.7 million) and the U.K. ($4.2 million), and also added $2.4 million in Spain. In Japan (a Paramount market) it opened to $1.5 million, which is about on par with The Great Gatsby. www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=3780&p=.htm
